Shirley Siegal is an artist, archaeologist, lecturer and art instructor. She is an enterpreneur of international art projects, co-operating with artists and scholars from universities around the world. Her art projects "The First Supper" and "Dinner With Friends", created as a co-operation with artists from Iran, India and Oman, is traveling the world and already exhibited in NYC, Toronto, New Delhi, Amsterdam, London, Bratislava and Romania.

Shirley's art is influenced by her knowledge of history and archaeology and from contemporary events, and is about the experiences and identity construction of women in the past and in the present.

Her artwork won many prizes and her private FINE ART SCHOOL won gold medals and  Awards of Excellence in International art competitions.

Shirley has an M.A. in Archaeology and Museum Studies from The Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and a Curator and Museum Studies Diploma from Tel Aviv University, Israel.

December 2019 - Shirley is the founder and academic coordinator of an Israeli-Indian seminar, focused on the introduction of the theory, methodology and current academic research in the field of religion, history, art and gender studies. A research group, involving researchers from Ben Gurion University in Israel, Panjab University in India.

Shirley's Fine Art School – Prizes and Grants

 

Established in 2004, Shirley's fine Art School has lead hundreds of students to understand the conceptual thinking and theoretical bases that underlie their art and view it within the framework of art history. The school attends three international art competitions each year and has already won several gold medals and awards of excellence.
